**NextFab Logo Latte ART **

Thank you David from Good Karma Cafe!! We collaborated on creating a latte art of our NextFab logo. The logo came out so nicely. Plus, it was fun!! I am so pleased with the result. This was a bit more tricky than I thought it would be… It took a few tries to get it to work.

Here is the trick. We laser cut the stencil with our Trotec 500. We tweaked our logo so it can be cut in to a stencil without losing elements. With stencils, you cannot have free floating elements (or they won’t stay on). You have to make sure all the elements are connected.

We used cinnamon powder to sprinkle over the stencil to get the image. You can also do this with other powder toppings like cocoa powder, nutmeg, etc…One thing you should know is that the surface of the froth should be as close to the top of the cup as possible without touching the stencil to get the most detail and clean edges.

Voila!! Thanks to all the staff at Good Karma for helping me out with this. I’m really happy with the result. I can’t wait to do other images!

Our Member, Robert Baruch, used the Trotec Speedy 500 to engrave the bottle of… well Absinthe. Read more about the process combined with little bits of history on his very cool blog.
